She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas J. Schaeffer; her parents, Norton J. Smith and Edna Smith (Shartle); and her siblings, Arthur D., Gilbert N., Leon I., Harvey Smith, Dorothy E. Himmelberger, Rebecca S. and Sally R. Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Terry M. Schaeffer, Rodney L. Schaeffer, Jeff S. Schaeffer and Pamela K. Zimmerman; and her siblings, Karl H. Smith and Mildred M. Graeff. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
