She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Schaffer and Eva M. Schaffer (Shade); her sister-in-law Doris Schaffer; and her brother Garvin Schaffer. She is survived by: her husband Larry E. Gessner; her children, Regina (Robert Dohr) of Herndon, VA, Anita (Richard Halpern) of Lansdale and Marc (Lynnette Gessner) of Wellsville; her grandchildren, Emily Halpern, Jacob Halpern, Katie Gessner and Ethan Dohr; her siblings, Robert Schaffer, Martha (William Koppenhaver), Walter (Cynthia Schaffer) and Linda Schaffer; and her sister-in-law Ruth Schaffer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
