Though Mark may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mark touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar W. Eckrote and Helen M. Kellner Sachse Eckrote. He is survived by: his wife Polly A. Laubach-Eckrote; and his siblings, Covered Bridges, Nelson Eckrote (Jan), Richard "Rick" Eckrote (Mary) and Joyce Eckrote Evans. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Despite battling early-onset Alzheimer's, Mark explored his creativity through painting with the North Mountain Art League (NMAL).
