She was predeceased by: her father Soloman "Jill" Maxwell. She is survived by: her mother Janet Maxwell (Mayle); her husband David E. Irwin, Sr.; her children, David Irwin, Jr. (Kim Cogswell) and Brittany Karchner (James); her grandchildren, Jacob, Autumn, Blake, Caden, Justice, Collen, Kinzey and JP; her siblings, Joel "Joey" Maxwell and Katie Kennedy (Jeremy); her siblings-in-law, Ray Kennedy (Tina) and Lisa McGuire; and her mother-in-law Maxine Kennedy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Rusty Rail Brewing Company, Mifflinburg will be hosting a benefit for Melissa A. Irwin on July 12, 2025, at 2 pm.
