He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilbert and Virginia Gilbert (Grover); his wife Josephine Ann Zaikoski; and his brother John Gilbert. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Angel Eckrote, Dani Carro, Marcey Newman, Katie Guise, Tony Zaikoski and Dan Gilbert; and his siblings-in-law, Bernie Zaikoski (Eileen) and Alice Zaikoski.
