He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jennings Bryan Shade and Lucy Selma Shade of Berwick. He is survived by: his wife Seenie Shade; his son James B. Shade; his daughter-in-law Valerie Shade of Broomfield; his grandchildren, Logan, Katie and Jackson; his great grandchild Maria Shade Miller (Thomas Miller); Ryan, Cole and Laura.
