He was predeceased by : his spouse Jinny Walker (Gault); his son John "Jack" Walker, Jr.; and his brothers, Joe, Paul and Tom Walker.

He is survived by : his children, Rebecca Plotner (Sandy), Kenneth Walker and Robert "Luke" Walkerand (Amy); his grandchildren, Lindsay Senge (Joe), Aly Walker, Ben Walker, Luke Walker, Leslie Ford (John), Chris Walker (Becca), Jeff Plotner (Courtney) and Brian Plotner; and his great grandchildren, Max, Brooklyn, Bodie Senge, Lily, Phin Ford, Tela Walker, Judson, Barnes and Tucker Plotner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (2040 Washington Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241).
