He was predeceased by: his parents, Grive Gomes and Maria Gomes (Fonseca); and his brother Joel Gomes. He is survived by: his wife Maria Gomes (Ferriera); his sons, Claudio Gomes and Bruno Gomes (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Elijah and Brianna; and his siblings, Rui DaSilva, Lurdes Miguel, Amalia Moreira and Olga Nunes. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
