Amalia G. Roufakis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amalia G. Roufakis of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isidoros Vergete and Maria Vergete (Xenakis); her spouse Pantelis "Peter" Roufakis; and her sister Stella Gialias. She is survived by: her daughter Effie Roufakis; her granddaughters, Marianna and Georgia; her sister Athina Triantafillakis of Chios, Greece; and her brother-in-law Vaggelis Roufakis of Chios, Greece. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral or to the St. Markella Society with checks made payable to Northern Chios.
