He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shaffer and Bertha Shaffer; and his brothers, Harry Shaffer Jr., Carl Ritter and Robert Beddoe.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Shaffer; his son Glenn; his daughter-in-law Judi Shaffer; his daughter Jeanine Schantz; and his grandchildren, Christopher Edwards, Megan Edwards, Daniel Schantz and Jason Kilgore. He is also survived by friends and family.
