She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Unangst and Julianna Unangst (Dancs); her son Michael D. Steckel; and her siblings, Elizabeth Skomitz, Julianna Miller, Theodore Unangst, Jr., Richard Unangst and Robert Unangst.
She is survived by: her husband George D. "Butch" Steckel; her son George D. Steckel, Jr. (Tanya); her daughter-in-law Melissa Steckel; her grandsons, Nicholas Steckel of Steel City and Ronald "Ronnie" Drabert of Potter County; her sister-in-law Margaret "Peg" Mansfeld of Hellertown; and her nieces and nephews, Eric Mansfeld, Joseph Unangst, Michael Unangst, Beth White, Michelle Frace, Christina Unangst and Carmen Reyes.
