She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl E. Gustafson and Sigrid Gustafson (Nestor); and her husband James A. Halkins. She is survived by: her children, James G. Halkins (Kathy) of Bethlehem, Linda Halkins of Philadelphia and Deborah Halkins of Bethlehem; and her grandchildren, William Horvath (Wendy), Jason Horvath (Jenn), Noah Halkins (Erin) and Megan Firman (Jeff).
