He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Niewoehner (Metzler); his sister Joanne Moore; his children, Ellen, John, Elizabeth (Ben Howell) and Dan (Kathi); and his grandchildren, Lia Howell, Ryan, Matt and Evan Niewoehner.
