We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Lena S. Avate of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Avate; and her parents, Michael Schmalzer and Mabel Miranda Schmalzer (Silvius). She is survived by: her children, Rickie Avate (Maggie) of Clayton, NC, Ronnie Avate (Jane) of Allentown, Barry Avate (Cindy) of Walnutport and Melody Haas (Randy) of Orefield; and her sister Dorothy Getz. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Lena's memory to her church or to Family Pillars Hospice, 3910 Adler Pl, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
