She was predeceased by: her parents, Balwant Rai and Saroj Parekh; and her brother Satish Parekh (PhD). She is survived by: her child Nitina; her husband Prem K. Sehgal; her children, Sanjay Sehgal (Radhika), Amita Starosielski (Eric) and Shaley Sehgal (MD); her sister Rohini Parekh (Ramesh); her grandchildren, Dunia, Jagat, Nyla, Nikhil, Anika and Eeshan; and also Prabhashankar Parekh. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
