He is survived by: his former wife Eleuteria Agosto; his children, Ramiro Rivera Jr. and Claudia Rivera; his sister Nilsa Rivera; his grandchildren, Jonathan A. Rosado, Adriana Rosado, Richard Rivera and Michell; and his great grandchildren, Catalias Rosado and Rosemichelle Rivera.
