He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore G. Pierson and Catherine Pierson (Blunt); his wives, Nancy A. Pierson (Haas) and Elizabeth A. Pierson (Breitwieser); and his sister Nancy C. Pierson.
He is survived by: his children, Karen (Samuel Graffman) of Allentown, PA, Linda Frisbee (Pierson) of Bedford, VA, Beverly (Elmer Hayes) of Lower Gwynedd, PA and Douglas Pierson (Oneida); his stepchildren, Elizabeth, Deborah, Michelle, Ellen, Joseph Sr., Joseph Jr. and Bob; and his sister Adele Kochan of Oakland, NJ.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
