It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell R. Gestl of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Gestl and Frances Gestl (Stubitz); his wife Frances Gestl (Ender); his daughter Regina "Gigi" Gestl; and his siblings, Rudolph, Isabel (Derr), Frederick, Charles, Herman, Mildred (Hertzog), Herbert, Raymond and Ernest.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Gestl (Gail), John Gestl (Coleen), Joseph Gestl (Sandra), Mary Agnes "Meg" Todd (Frank) and Robin Garcia (Ivo); his grandchildren, Derek Gestl, Amanda Gestl (Alec Jenkins), Jessica Gestl, Christine Gosch (Donnie), John Russell Gestl, Paul Gestl, Alia McMahan (Josh), Michele Todd, Andrew Todd (Genova), Colette Todd, Aijah Garcia, Atticus Garcia, Brianna Garcia and Justin Garcia; his great grandchildren, Jude Gosch, Stella, Beau Todd, Jamison, Leighanna Todd, Brader and Landry Jenkins; and his sister Delores Schwenk (Laurie).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ursula Catholic Church (1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015).
