He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Howe and Ruth Ann Howe (Brown); his great grandchild Evelyn Topper; and his siblings, Susan Howe, Jamie Howe and Sonya Tranum.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Howe (Casey Kimple) of Orrtanna, PA, Jody Hamberger (John) of East Berlin, PA and Cheryl Clabaugh; his stepmother Evelyn Howe (McMaster); his grandchildren, Matthew Sechrist, Sarah Topper and Kendall McDannell; his great grandchildren, Abigail Topper and Daniel Topper; his siblings, Candee Waite, Cindy Sheffer, Bobbie Ann Bumbaugh and Randy Howe; and his stepsiblings, Stacey Yost, Spring Mackey and Rick Reichert.
