It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph J. Devaney Jr. of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Devaney and Elizabeth Devaney (Featherstone); and his wife Carol J. Marino. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Devaney of Silver Springs, MD, Michael Devaney (Michele) of Middletown, PA and Theresa Wirth (Kirk) of Bloomsburg; his granddaughters, Isabella Devaney of Middletown and Olivia Devaney of Silver Spring, MD; and his sister Anne Metzo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. - Bloomsburg (745 Market St, Bloomsburg, PA 17815). A wake will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Columba Catholic Church (342 Iron St, Bloomsburg, PA 17815-1824).
