Swank (Whitaker); his granddaughter Sophia Shoemaker; his wife Margaret James; his children, Wendy (Randy Meyers) of Hughesville, Matthew Swank (Roberta) of Brunswick, Ohio and Jeri Shoemaker of Hughesville; and his stepdaughter Melissa (Darin Gallie) of Hartsville.

A graveside service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gordner's Cemetery.
