He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Smith (Tanner) of Blossburg; his wife Ruth A Smith (Williams); his stepson Joseph Smith; his brother-in-law Kenneth Williams; and his father Franklin D Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Mahosky (Tom), Sherry Stoudt (Mike) and Scott Smith (Theresa) of Blossburg; his grandchildren, TJ (Kristen), Nick, Sean (Lauren), Austin, Michael (Briana), Samantha (Brian) and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Lacey, Zack, Alex, Gabe, Kylie, Kennedi, Layla, Stephen, Max, Grace and Kaia; and his sisters, Phylis Williams and Dorothy Frank (Ray).
