We are sad to announce that, on December 3, 2025, at the age of 79, Kathryn Thompson of Blossburg, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Roddy and Kathryn Roddy; her former husband Frederick Melady; her husband Tom Thompson; and her children, Frederick Melady, Wendy Melady (Elwell) and Kelli Kircher (Melady).
She is survived by: her children, Patrick John (Michelle Melady) of Blossburg, PA and Kathleen (Brian Conway) of Westfield, NJ.; her grandchildren, Ashley Melady, Mary Melady (Kyle Loughner), Patrick John Melady, Isabella Conway and Sophia Conway; her great grandchildren, Christina Raspa (Michael), Martin Sherwood, Maura Sherwood, Rylee Loughner, Maverick Bogaczyk, Thomas Raspa, Michael Raspa and Maci Raspa; and her sisters, Rebecca Spencer (Thomas) and Patricia Vitale (Dave). She is also survived by her family, especially her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that a donation be made to The Gatehouse Hospice at UPMC Divine Providence Hospital.
