He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. McShane and Frieda McShane (Marco); and his brother Stephen McShane. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary C. McShane; his son Edward J. McShane III; his daughter-in-law Patricia McShane (Cane); his daughter Nicole Sheftic (McShane); his son-in-law Mark Sheftic; his grandchildren, Julia, Natalie, Edward (EJ), Alexander McShane, Ty, Taylor Sheftic and Sister Christine Gancarz (McShane); and his brother-in-law Jim Gancarz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
But over the last 35 years, Edward faced and overcame numerous health challenges including heart disease, 3 bouts with Cancer and treatment complications, Kidney Stones & Kidney Disease, Eye surgery, COVID pneumonia and various infections, and other issues.
