He was predeceased by: his parents, Isadore Gola and Helen Gola; his siblings, Wanda, Joan, Tom and Catherine; and his grandson Maxwell.

He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Gola; his children, Elizabeth Jane Neary (Rod), Michael Gola (Donna), Mary Ellen Serbun (Steve), Barbara Arenberg (Carl), Matthew Gola (Tammy) and Mark Gola (Tracey); his siblings, Paul and Claire; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Brian, Michael, Timothy, Luke, Stephanie, Justin, Krista, Gunar, Matthew, Jack and Claire. He is also survived by his 19 great-grandchildren.
