He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H. Scheffey and Lena A. Scheffey (Appel); and his siblings, Richard Scheffey, Margaret Breagy, William Scheffey and Elizabeth Santos.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his sons, John M. Scheffey (Molly) of Churchville, David Scheffey (Andrew Pomerantz) of Mesa, AZ and Rob Scheffey of Tampa, FL; his daughter-in-law Beth Scheffey of Allentown, NJ; and his sister-in-law Virginia Scheffey of West Chester, PA. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren.
