He was predeceased by: his parents, Tolbert Murphy and Ida Murphy (Smith); his wife Genevieve Murphy (Miller); his son Patrick L. Murphy, Jr.; his granddaughter Amanda Shaw; and his siblings, Timothy, Terry Murphy, Jane Myers, Fay Finkey and Fern Gutshall.
He is survived by: his sons, Bryne K. Murphy (Marguirite) of Mt. Holly Springs and Bradley N. Murphy (Karen) of Landisburg; his grandson Jeremy B. Murphy of Carlisle; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Emma Shaw. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
