He was predeceased by : his parents, Stanley Reed and Violet Reed (Gehris); his son Barry Reed; and his siblings, Gerald, George, Richard, Russell Reed and Mary Lou Gehris.

He is survived by : his daughters, Deborah Luckenbach and Susann (Ronald Webber) of North Port, FL; his sister Joan Hilt of Manheim, PA; and his brother-in-law John Gehris. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
