He is survived by: his wife Joan Kathleen Docherty (Bara); his children, Jennifer Docherty and Michael Docherty (Paula Maxwell); his grandson Alexander Docherty; his siblings, Patrick Docherty (Nadine) and Teresa Kaufmann (Kim); his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Bara, Clifford Bara and Lois Owens (Robert); and his nieces and nephews, Eric Docherty (Rebecca), Dr. Megan Docherty, John Kaufmann, Keith Bara (Margaret), Monica Dillon (John), Julie Gdula (Adam) and Audriana Wensel (Michael).
