She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Banyas and Margaret Banyas (Obecunis); her husband Rudolph Szekely; her son Eric; and her sister Bernice Bartirome.
She is survived by: her children, Rudolph Szekely (Marla) of Apollo, Cheryl Pysk (late Jerry) of Braddock and Brian Szekely of Braddock; and her grandchildren, Rudolph "Rusty" Szekely Jr. (Madison), Jerry Pysk (Amy), Andrea Pysk, Stephen Szekely, Cameron Szekely (Brook), Nicholas Ehrhart and Robert Polinski. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
