She was predeceased by: her father George Smith; and her husband James Byzek. She is survived by: her son Paul Byzek (Denise) of Braddock Hills; her grandchildren, Bridgett Byzek (Cris Sharpley) and Savannah Byzek of Braddock Hills; and her siblings, Kathleen Aten (Beach) of Texas, Jack Smith (Valentina) of Florida and Carol Voci (Vince) of Pittsburgh.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.
