He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul E. Vance and Margarete Vance (Schmidt); his wife Barbara Vance (Carty); his brother Paul; his daughters, Melissa Spaich and Marriah Vance; and his grandson Cody Snyder.

He is survived by : his children, Michele Snyder, Marissa Norcross (Mike), Maissie Vance, Miranda Spoor (Kevin), Melinda Vance, Melanie Vance, Mollina Munday (Robert), Matthew Vance (Shannon) and Marcuis Vance; his grandchildren, Morgan, Christina, Joshua, Brandon, Seth, Jett, Caprice, Ethan, Maddox, Dominic, Wyatt, Charlize, Noah, Karmyn, Owen, Hunter, Addison, Ian and Hadley; and his great grandchildren, Greyson, Joshua Cody, Luka and Lucian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
