She was predeceased by : her parents, Erma Trimble and Carleton Akins; her siblings, James Akins and Janice Parker; her spouse Francis "Butch" Kost; and her son Kevin Kost, Sr..

She is survived by : her children, Karen Jensen (Ken), Kathleen Allen, Kimberly Patricelli (Dominic), Karl Kost (Norma), Keith Kost, Kristine Kost and Kelly Bommer (Mark).

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for cancer research.
