McGovern of Branchdale, Pennsylvania, born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 72, on September 25, 2022. He was predeceased by : his parents, Patrick J. McGovern and Mary A. Farrell McGovern; his siblings, Bernard McGovern, Patricia O'Brien, Joseph McGovern, Elizabeth Schwalm and Robert McGovern; and his son-in-law Daniel Polansky.

He is survived by : his wife Carol Ann Murphy; his children, Lisa Polansky (Mark Aungst), Thomas M. McGovern (Marissa) and April Bowman (Lester); his grandchildren, Danielle, Alyssa, Aaron Polansky, Grady, Irelynn, Grayson, Garison McGovern and Seth Bowman; and his siblings, Mary Colleen Wade (William), Dolores Faust (Gary), Geralyn McGovern, Baltimore and William Gregory McGovern. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
