He is survived by: his sons, Thomas Black of Brave, PA, Tim Black (Tonya) of Rutan, PA, Robert Black (Betty Jo) of Ryerson, PA and John Boy Black (Missy) of Holbrook, PA; his grandchildren, Carla McClure, Travis Black, Corey Black, Tracy Simpson, Devin Black, Robert Black, Brayden Black, Rory Black, Kathleen Black, Trevor Black, Cody Black and Rylee Black; his great grandchildren, Oakley Simpson, Ava Black and Owen Simpson; and his siblings, William Black of Holbrook, PA, Colleen Darling of Pentress, Joan Stewart of Brave, PA and Karen Stuyvesant of Belmont, WV..
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home (5894 Mason-Dixon Hwy, Blacksville, WV 26521).
