The family announces the passing of Jonathan R. Smith of Breinigsville, Pennsylvania on September 29, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rhoda Smith (Gunty) and Michael Smith (Mickey); and his sister Leslie Smith. He is survived by: his sister Wendy Rohksar; his wife Susan Smith; his son Michael Smith (Sara Ritter); his stepchildren, Ben Youngerman (Tracy Migliori), Matt Schechtman (Amanda Church) and Erin Caruso (Ron Caruso); and his grandchildren, Miriam Smith, Clara Smith, Vivian Caruso and Emmett Caruso.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Temple Beth El (1305 Springhouse Rd, Allentown, PA 18104).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to ALS United Mid-Atlantic, Team Gleason, or Compassionate Care, all of which provided invaluable support to Jonathan and his family.
