He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Phillips and Hannah Jones Phillips; and his sister Dolores Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Hlavay Phillips; his children, Timothy Phillips, Diane Marcincin (Terry), Carol Phillips (Ken Petricko) and Mary Ellen Herrmann (Ron); his grandchildren, Corry Marcincin, Mallory Skipper, Douglas Marcincin, Josh, Brittany, Stephanie Phillips, Ashleigh, Kristen, Jordan Yuhas, Lauren Timcheck, Nathan and Sean Herrmann; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Sloane, Lillian, Emilia, Colton, Asher, Quinn, Rylan, Holden, Decker, Grayson, Leni, Harlow and Crew.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. (314 W Lincoln Ave, McDonald, PA 15057). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Robert W. Little Funeral Service Inc.- McDonald (314 W Lincoln Ave, McDonald, PA 15057). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at the Holy Souls Cemetery (4772 Campbells Run Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jaime or Cliff Hughes for their daughter, who is battling childhood cancer.
