It is with sadness that the passing of George A. Tuma in Brighton Township, Pennsylvania is shared. George, born on February 21, 1941, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
George will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor George by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though George is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. George’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Stanley and Mary Elizabeth Tuma (Scheel); his wife Barbara Tuma (McElwee); his son Craig Allan Tuma; and his brother Thomas Tuma.
He is survived by: his sons, John Patrick Tuma (Carol) of New Brighton and David Joseph Tuma (Jalee) of New Brighton; his grandchildren, Paige Slima of New Brighton and Brett Tuma of New Brighton; and his sister-in-law Tonette Tuma of Monaca. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gabauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (1133 Penn Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066).
