He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia L. "Ginger" Way (Vaughn); and his brothers, Lee Humpton and Allen Vaughn. He is survived by: his father Alvin; his children, Kellie F. Way of Brisbin and Alvin V. Way, Jr. (Jerri Lee); his stepdaughter Dawn R. Reams (Eric) of Chester Hill; and also Carl Spencer. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members including numerous "children" and "grandchildren".
