He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul Matia, Sr. and Helen Matia (Ruman). He is survived by: his wife Linda Hughes; his children, Jennifer Matier (Fran), Jeff Matia (Daleen) and Stephanie Matia (Derek Walker); and his grandchildren, Henry Matia, Connor Matier, Evan Matia, Wynston Walker, Broderick Walker, Violet Matia and Audrey Matia.
