He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter A. Barner and Helen Barner; his former life partner Margaret "Peg" Barner; and his siblings, Walter, Joseph, Carl, John (Jack) and Ann.
He is survived by : his wife Catherine Barner of Bradenton, FL; his son Jerome Barner (Deborah) of East Lyme, CT; his grandchildren, Allison of Portland, ME, Jerome Colin of Port Townsend, WA and Hannah of East Lyme; and his stepson John Hinton (Leslie) of Bradenton, FL.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
