He was predeceased by: his parents, Lalen Carson and Gladys Carson (Beam); his wife Marion Carson (Hinderliter); his son Daniel Carson; his grandsons, Ryan Carson and Michael Carson Jr.; and his siblings, Arthur Rhodes, George Rhodes, Gladys Oppmann, Harry Rhodes, Russell Rhodes, Virginia Asay and Deanna Carson.
He is survived by: his sons, John J. (Marybeth), Michael (Tracy), Robert (Rosemary) and David (Laurie); his stepchildren, Brenda Dallas, Charles Dallas (Beverly) and William Dallas (Marie); his grandchildren, Matthew, Erin, Shawn, Brianna, Leah, Brittany, Melissa, Chas, Juliana, Chel and Victoria; and his great grandchildren, Dean, Carter, Broderick, Sydney, Brynn, Jude and Ella. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home (10975 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
