He was predeceased by: his parents, Deveaux McElwee and Dolly McElwee (Collare). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Plazek; his children, Nikki (Kevin Faircloth) of Saxton, Shari (Jason Banco), Kati McElwee (Brandon Musser) of Saxton and William "Billy" McElwee of Saxton; his grandchildren, Ciara, Myiah, Taner, Kai, Kadyn, Kandon and Karter; his great grandchildren, Miles and Kace; and his brothers, Tom McElwee (Becky), Rick McElwee and Randy McElwee (Phyllis "Tip").
