He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard "Porky" Ray and Alberta "Toots" Ray; his sister Barbara Carlson; his brothers-in-law, Swede Carlson and Mike Lawrence; his mother-in-law Betty Oaks; his niece Jamie Ray; and his nephew Scott George.

He is survived by : his wife Carole "CJ" Ray of Brookville; his children, Matt Ray (Tammy) of Brooksville, Florida, Misty Ray of Strattanville, Tammy Anderson (Mike) of Brookville and Tonya Mester (Don) of Homer City; his grandchildren, Ryley Ray, Madison Ray, Drew Anderson (Reina), Kyle Anderson (Hannah), Sai Velez (Jayson), Kaitlyn Anderson and Tyler Mester (Shayna); his great grandchildren, Sadie, Olivia, Logan, Cadence, Wyatt, Helen, Eric, Sarah, Giannie, Jayda, Sarina and Aubrey; his brother Charlie Ray; his siblings-in-law, Ted Fox (Nancy), Marsha George (Terry) and Deb Hillard (Ron); and his nieces and nephews, Mike Carlson, Jeff Carlson, Cody Carlson, Clint Ray (Darlene), Kevin George (Lisa), Jason Lawrence (Marissa), Janey Fox, Becky Gaston (Mike), Michelle Rausch (Rich), Markelle Blair (Bryan) and Bria Millar (Don).
