He was predeceased by: his wives, Rosanne Simko and Joan Simko; his children, John F., Jr. and Denise Ewing; his granddaughter Lena Simko; and his parents, Mary Simko and John Simko.
He is survived by: his sister Rosanne; his nibling Francis "Fran" (Diane); and his grandchildren, Joe Ewing (Megan), Jen O'Neill (Shawn), Diana Willard, Maggie, Tim Alcorn, Ella Simko and Maxine Simko. He is also survived by his 13 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
