He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joyce and Florence Joyce of Yeadon; his brother John J. "Sonny" Joyce; and his stepson James Carney. He is survived by: his wife Peg Joyce. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers family prefers contributions to the West Chester- Brandywine Valley SPCA 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester PA 19380.
