It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Nelson of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping JoAnn's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eugene Nelson and Helen Melvin Nelson; her sister Betty Watts (Fred) of Pittsburgh; her sibling's children, Eric Watts (Kim) and Leslie Patterson (Scott) of Hermitage, PA; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ford, Aster, Chad, Kyle and Samantha.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. (2830 Main St, Beallsville, PA 15360). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blainesburg Bible Church (104 4th Blvd, Brownsville, PA 15417).
