He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Tubby" Brooks and Dorla Brooks; and his grandparents, James and Virginia Hall. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty (Ricky Shaffer), Ronald Brooks and Danny Brooks (Janice); his aunts and uncles, Blanche, Dennis Carr, James and Charmaine; his niece Shawna Zekir; and his nephews, Michael Zekir, Jr. (Melissa), Joshua and Matthew Brooks. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and recently born great-great nephew.
