He is survived by: his wife Marlene McConnell (Craig); his children, Michael (Darla), Jeffrey McConnell (Leanne), Michelle Knox and Jodi Thompson (James); his brother Edwin McConnell; his grandchildren, Kortney Bradley (Michael), Jeremy (Emily), Seth Bowser (Anjana), Michael (Lindsey), Matthew McConnell (Beth), Samantha Cornetti (Joe), Tausha Knapp (Dan), Kaitlin Scheerbaum (Dustin), James (Kim), Lalianna Thompson, Tia Stutz (Josh), Trevor (Maria), Sara (Emily) and Marli Knox (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Kiara, Kate, Koen, Walker, Kyran, Iveigh, Liam, Rowan, Nora, Hanna, Ryan, Easton, Mason, Nolan, McKinley, Madden and Tripp.
