He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. John and Dorothy Norris Kirby Sr. John; and his niece Bernadette Kirby. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bowman Kirby; his children, John E. Kirby III (Sean) and Lisa McCarthy (Daniel); his grandchildren, Jack, Ian, Stella Blue, Alexander (AJ), Rebecca, Amanda and Daniel (DJ); his great grandchild Christopher (CJ); his brother Lee Kirby (Peggy); his niece Peggy Lee; and his nephews, John and Brian.
